An Introduction to the Ashtanga Primary Series

This workshop is aimed at complete beginners to ashtanga yoga as well as those who would like to look at the basics in more depth. We will explore breath, bandha, drishti, asana and vinyasa.
The aim of the workshop is to give students a thorough basis in ashtanga yoga from where they can go on to join regular yoga classes and even start a short home practice.
The class will be dynamic but there will also be lots of time for asking questions and looking at the above areas in a greater depth than there is chance to in a regular class. We will finish with a deep guided relaxation.

Meet the Teachers
Donna’s spiritual journey began after experiencing a solar eclipse in India in 1995.
Shortly after that, she took a silent Vipassana retreat followed by a number of others, which changed her as a person and prepared her for when she found yoga, via an Ashtanga Vinyasa class which she happened across on her way to the beach in Goa in 1998.
