Exploring & Creating Authentic Embodied Relationships On & Off the Mat - Session 2
With Heidi Hinda Chadwick
30 July 2017, 13:30–16:30
Part 2 in a series of 3. Can be booked as individual workshops, or as the whole series. See the full series here.
A series of 3 exploratory sessions that will provide the space, time and possibility to dive deep into asking ourselves the questions: What are we in relationship to, giving our attention to, in each moment? What are we connected to when we practice? What kind of relationship do we have with our body and our ground? How do we connect with the environment that we live and move in? And, are we still in relationship with ourselves, our centre, our ground, as we engage with others and with life?
We will work with playful compassionate inquiry, using yoga, somatic bodywork, breathwork, movement meditations, writing, and our own kind awareness. These workshops are an opportunity to bring a sense of playfulness and curiousity into our practice, and to create a depth of authenticity and integrity that we can take onto our mat and into our life.
This second session will explore boundaries, examining the 'space' we inhabit, within ourselves, and then in relationship to the environment we are in contact with, where we 'end' and 'outside' of us begins. Do we live in and from spaciousness? Do we hold our shape as we move into relationship or do we 'shrink' or 'grow too big'? We will play with different ways to be in relationship with the space around us. This will be a fun session of experimenting and inviting our willingness to bring humour on to our mats.
Suitable for all levels
Meet the Teachers
Donna’s spiritual journey began after experiencing a solar eclipse in India in 1995.
Shortly after that, she took a silent Vipassana retreat followed by a number of others, which changed her as a person and prepared her for when she found yoga, via an Ashtanga Vinyasa class which she happened across on her way to the beach in Goa in 1998.
